Swati Biswas was born on January 14, 1971, in Agartala, Tripura. An Indian by nationality, she comes from a family rooted in education and service, with her father being the late Sachindra Chandra Biswas & her Mother Smt. CHAPALA BIWAS. Swati resides in Agartala, West Tripura, where she has established both her personal and professional life. Her academic journey reflects a strong commitment to education, begin[1]ning with her Madhyamik and Higher Secondary education from the Tripu[1]ra Board of Secondary Education. She pursued a Bachelor of Science degree, completing both a pass course and an honors course in Zoology. Furthering her education, she obtained a Master of Science degree in Anthropology from North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, where she focused on Medical Cultural Anthropology. She later undertook a Ph.D. at the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya, specializing in Indig[1]enous Technical Knowledge (ITKs) in agricultural fields of Nagaland, completing her coursework in 2013. Professionally, she has garnered nearly three decades of experience across various educational and research institutions. She began her career as an Assistant Teacher at St. Albert’s High School, Shillong, and soon transi[1]tioned into research, securing positions such as Junior Research Fellow, Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, and Research Associate at presti[1]gious institutions including the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in Shillong, Tripura, and Umiam, Meghalaya. She is currently employed as the Office Superintendent cum Accountant at KVK Cachar, Assam Agricultural University, where she has been serving since 2012. Her academic contributions include several notable publications. She has co-authored research articles in respected journals such as the *Indian Journal of Hill Farming*, where she analyzed gender involvement in paddy cultivation and conducted anthropometric studies of agricultural workers in Meghalaya. Her work has been presented at national conventions and has contributed to the understanding of ergonomical problems in indigenous tools used in Meghalaya. Additionally, she has contributed a book chapter on anthropometrical studies among agricultural workers, published by the Anthropological Survey of India. She has attended various training programs and seminars throughout her career, enhancing her expertise in fields such as food process[1]ing, agricultural instrumentation, and data collection methodologies. Her training also includes specialized programs on child growth and development, socio-economic data collection, and administrative and financial management. Notably, she has participated in work[1]shops focused on health and socio-economic data collection, further strengthening her research and analytical skills. In addition to her professional achievements, Swati is also an accomplished artist. She holds a certificate in Rabindra Sangeet from Bangi[1]ya Sangeet Parishad and has been recognized at the block level for her recitation of poetry. During her college years, she was actively involved in the National Service Scheme (NSS). She has made significant contributions to the economic evaluation of the National Agricultural Technology Project (NATP), conducting socio-economic surveys in various villages in Meghalaya. Her expertise extends to financial consultancy, where she has worked with multiple farmer producer companies and has been involved in World Bank-funded projects such as APART (Assam Agri-business & Rural Transformation) since 2018. She also serves as a financial consultant for the ICAR-funded DAMU project under the Indian Meteorological Department. Her dedication to her work and community exemplifies her commitment to education, research, and social service.
