Dr. Suhas S. Khot, a distinguished leader in engineering education, has devoted nearly three decades to nurturing future technocrats and promoting academic excellence. Renowned for his innovative methodologies and exemplary leadership, he currently serves as the Principal of KJ College of Engineering and Management Research, Pune, a position he has held since 2016.

His academic foundation is rooted in a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the prestigious Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, Maharashtra. He further honed his expertise by securing a Master’s Degree (ME) in the same discipline from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, where he graduated as a top-ranking student. To deepen his knowledge, he pursued a Ph.D. at the renowned College of Engineering Pune (COEP), one of India’s oldest and most respected institutions. With an impressive 29 years of teaching experience in leading institutions, he has significantly contributed to the field of engineering education. His unwavering commitment to academic and administrative excellence has been recognized through numerous prestigious accolades.

In 2023, he received the Best Principal Award from the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) for the Maharashtra and Goa regions. His other noteworthy honors include the Outstanding Leader in Higher Education Award at the ELETs Education Innovation Summit (2022) and the Best Principal Award from the Intellectual People Foundation, New Delhi (2022). In 2021, he was presented with the Award of Excellence by the Navbharat Group India, which was conferred by Maharashtra’s Technical and Higher Education Minister. His exceptional contributions were also acknowledged by the Pune Municipal Corporation in 2018. Beyond his administrative roles, he is actively involved in academic and professional circles.

He holds memberships in esteemed professional organizations such as IEEE, IETE, IEI, ISTE, CSI, and ISOI. As an Approved Ph.D. Guide at Savitribai Phule Pune University, he is mentoring four doctoral candidates, fostering research and innovation in cutting-edge technologies. His expertise is reflected in the numerous technical papers he has published in both national and international journals, further establishing him as a thought leader in the field. In addition to his academic and research contributions, he is an accomplished writer with a keen interest in addressing educational policies, engineering admissions, and broader societal issues. Between 2022 and 2023, he authored over 15 insightful articles featured in leading newspapers such as The Indian Express, Times of India, Lokmat, Sakal, and Maharashtra Times.
