Arun Sharma is not just a name; it’s a brand for mathematics in our area. Arun hails from a small town in Dohag, District Hamirpur, where he attended school up to the 8th grade. However, he faced a challenge when he realized that there was no one to help him with mathematics in his town. Determined to excel, Arun traveled 4 km to Jahu for extra study, even though it was far from his village. It was during this time that Arun formulated a plan for his future – he wanted to become a mathematics teacher.
When Arun completed the 9th grade, his father moved him to Blue Star School in District Hamirpur, where he continued his education up to the +2 level. He pursued his graduation from Netaji Subhash Chandra Memorial College in Hamirpur and completed his B.Ed from Jammu University. After finishing his B.Ed, he began his teaching career at Nav-Vibhor Public School near his hometown. Arun Sharma then pursued his M.Sc from Karnataka and M.Ed in Education from Karnataka Open State University.
Arun Sharma’s teaching prowess was quickly recognized, and his students admired him for his excellent teaching methods. Within a year, the school’s enrollment increased, and Arun Sharma was awarded a prize by the school management. In 2009, he established the Advance Syllabus Centre near his town, where many students benefited from his guidance and support.
In 2011, Arun Sharma joined Baba Gandha Shing School in Barnala as a mathematics teacher, and soon he gained fame for his exceptional teaching skills. He was later promoted to the Head of the Department of Mathematics. Even after school hours, students from various schools sought his help to clarify their doubts.
In 2016, Arun Sharma joined NEW CRESCENT School in Joginder Nagar as a PGT (Mathematics) teacher and later became the Vice Principal of the school in 2020. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit India, Arun Sharma decided to return to his hometown and joined GREEN VALLEY PUBLIC School in Jahu. Despite the closure of schools due to the pandemic, Arun Sharma continued to provide online classes to his students, ensuring that no student was left behind.
He went above and beyond by providing essential instruments to economically disadvantaged students and conducted day and night online mathematics classes. However, Arun Sharma himself contracted COVID-19 but battled through it using Ayurvedic remedies. Despite facing challenges, he continued to conduct online classes tirelessly, garnering a large following of students from all over India.
In recent months, Arun Sharma established a new learning center, Aaditya Academy, in his village, making his students proud. However, his ultimate dream project is to open his own school, showcasing his relentless dedication to education and the betterment of his community.
