“Tripti Majumdar: A Legacy of Dedication, Excellence, and Service in Nursing”
Tripti Majumdar began her illustrious journey in nursing by enrolling in the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course at WBNC on March 15, 1978. She successfully completed her training at Calcutta National Medical College & Hospital on September 29, 1981, and commenced her professional career as a Staff Nurse the following day. Her dedication and exceptional work ethic led to her first promotion as Sister-in-Charge on October 31, 1992, a role she fulfilled with commitment until July 20, 2009. On July 21, 2009, she advanced to the position of Deputy Nursing Superintendent and was assigned to Raiganj in Uttar Dinajpur.
She served there for two years and two months before being transferred to Berhampore Mental Hospital on September 10, 2011, in the same capacity. Her consistent dedication to excellence paved the way for her promotion to Nursing Superintendent on January 28, 2015, when she joined Domkal Super Specialty Hospital. She continued to serve with distinction there until January 2, 2020, after which she assumed the role of Nursing Superintendent at Lalbagh S.D. Hospital. She remained in this position until her retirement at the age of 62 on January 31, 2023. Her career was characterized by unwavering patience, sincerity, and an earnest sense of dedication. She regarded her work as a means of serving God, a belief that underpinned her exemplary service in the healthcare field. During her tenure, she actively participated in numerous training programs to hone her skills and expand her knowledge base, ensuring she stayed ahead in her profession.

She established three gardens, including two herbal gardens, in her workplaces, enriching the hospital environment and fostering a sense of healing and serenity for both patients and staff. She also played pivotal roles in hospital administration, serving as a team leader, hospital visitor, CHO Trainer, and SBA Training Trainer. Furthermore, her affiliation with TNAI-Delhi reflected her commitment to professional development and her active involvement in the broader nursing community. Her journey was marked by a continuous pursuit of excellence and an enduring dedication to her profession. Her career path, from her early days in nursing training to her role as Nursing Superintendent, highlights her exceptional commitment to patient care and professional growth. Her enthusiasm for training programs underscored her desire to stay at the forefront of her field and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare sector.
