Tripti Majumdar: A Distinguished Journey of Dedication and Excellence in Nursing
Tripti Majumdar embarked on her nursing journey with the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course from WBNC on March 15, 1978. She successfully completed her training at Calcutta National Medical College & Hospital on September 29, 1981. The following day, on September 30, 1981, she began her career as a Staff Nurse. Her dedication and commitment led to her promotion as Sister-in-Charge on October 31, 1992, a position she held until July 20, 2009.
On July 21, 2009, she was promoted to Deputy Nursing Superintendent and joined Raiganj in Uttar Dinajpur. She served in this capacity for two years and two months until September 9, 2011. She was then transferred to Berhampore Mental Hospital as Deputy Nursing Superintendent, joining on September 10, 2011. Her continued excellence and dedication to patient care earned her another promotion on January 28, 2015, when she joined Domkal Super Specialty Hospital as Nursing Superintendent. She served there until January 2, 2020, after which she was transferred to Lalbagh S.D. Hospital as Nursing Superintendent, a role she maintained until her retirement at the age of 62 on January 31, 2023.
Throughout her career, she performed her duties with patience, sincerity, and full dedication. She believed that through her job, she served God. During this period, she participated in various training programs to enhance her skills and knowledge.
Additionally, she made significant contributions to her workplace by creating three gardens, two of which were herbal gardens. She served as a team leader in hospital administration and service, worked as a hospital visitor, CHO Trainer, and SBA Training Trainer. She is also a member of TNAI-Delhi.
Her career is a testament to her unwavering dedication to the nursing profession. Her journey, beginning with her nursing training and culminating in her role as Nursing Superintendent, showcases her commitment to patient care and professional excellence. Her participation in numerous training programs reflects her desire to continually enhance her skills and knowledge, ensuring that she remained at the forefront of her field.
Her contributions to her workplaces were significant. By creating gardens, she not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the hospitals but also promoted a healing environment for patients and staff alike.
