The school’s trophy cabinet, brimming with awards in football and Hockey, attests to the success of this approach.

The school’s cattle farm, established to provide hygienic milk for boarders, uses organic green fodder. The biogas cooking system, initiated in 1998, and the solar cooking system, built in 1999, exemplify the school’s innovative approach to reducing methane emissions and harnessing renewable energy.

The school’s journey towards sustainability began with the desire of its students to cultivate their own kitchen gardens. This initiative led to the establishment of an organic farm that produces vegetables and fodder for the cattle without the use of chemicals. In 2007, the school built a percolation pond to harvest rainwater, followed by the construction of two percolation wells at the staff quarters and one at the hostel in 2018. These initiatives have significantly contributed to water conservation on campus.

Solar water heating systems were first installed in 2000 and upgraded in 2017 with evacuated glass tubes-based heaters. The rainwater harvesting system, conceived in 2008, includes an underground tank with a capacity of 250,000 liters, ensuring a sustainable supply of drinking water after necessary treatment.

Aunty’s personal touch extends to the welfare of both students and staff. She is known for her care, whether it’s providing freshly cooked meals for sick children or listening to their concerns. Her involvement in every aspect of school life has created a family-like atmosphere where students feel at home.
