Premasis Bhattacharjee, born on July 19, 1972, in a middle-class family on CIT Road, Motijheel, Kolkata, West Bengal, is a notable figure whose life is a testament to compassion, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit. Raised in his ancestral house in Natun Kalipur (Angona), Krishnanagar, Nadia, his upbringing in a close-knit family and natural surroundings instilled in him a deep love for nature and humanity. As the second child in his family, he  was nurtured with love and care, growing into a focused and progressive individual known for his problem-solving skills, earning him the nickname “Mender” among his peers.

After completing his schooling in his hometown, he  moved to Kolkata in 1992, where he earned a BA degree from Calcutta University in 1994. Alongside his studies, he pursued a special course in Physiotherapy and began working in the field. His curiosity about the multifaceted corporate industry led him to learn computer skills, and after completing his degree, he started his career with a small service-providing company. His leadership skills quickly became evident, leading him to envision expanding the company. When his vision was not shared, he decided to start his own venture.

Over the years, he  founded seven companies: WorkForce Advisory Pvt Ltd., SAP Advisory Services Pvt Ltd., WorkForce Business Management Pvt Ltd., SAP Interiors & Design Pvt Ltd.,  Sweet Happy Journey Tour & Travels Pvt Ltd., Sri Sai Sap Event Management Pvt Ltd. &Avirajvi Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.He is the Chairman of SAP GROUP& Managing Director of the above mentioned Companies.Beginning with a small team, his enterprises grew, showcasing his dedication and business acumen. Beyond his professional achievements, Premasis is deeply committed to philanthropy. He supports orphaned children by providing educational needs, such as books, tuition, and computer education, along with food and clothing. His efforts extend to the tribal communities in West Bengal, supplying necessary amenities and supporting education and self-sufficiency.

His  dedication to social welfare is evident in his work with the handicapped, providing health check-ups, wheelchairs, and job opportunities. He also forms self-help groups that produce goods like jams, jellies, handloom products, umbrellas, and soft toys, ensuring they have access to raw materials and markets to sell their products. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he went above and beyond to provide medical aid, oxygen cylinders, and daily necessities to those in need. He also supports the elderly in old-age homes, valuing parental blessings and caring for many who lack family support.

His involvement with a blind school, where he teaches children that “blind eyes are better than blind souls,” highlights his commitment to empowering the visually impaired. He  regularly organizes blood donation drives, health check-ups, eye treatment camps, and distributes books, blankets, and medicines. As a non-political figure with selfless motives, he is deeply respected and loved by the people of Krishnanagar and Kolkata.

His  social work continued with his active participation in the Rotary Club Sonarpur, where he organized numerous camps to support the needy. His relentless efforts earned him the prestigious RashtriyaAtalPuraskar 2023 from the PradhanmantriSangrahalaya, Teen MurtiBhavan, New Delhi, on May 16, 2023. Further honoring his contributions, he received the International Atal Award 2023 on December 25, 2023. Premasis Bhattacharjee is a self-made man who believes that “together we can succeed and make the world a better place to live in.” His life and work inspire others to pursue excellence and compassion in their endeavors.
