Parmanu Defence Academy in Dehradun, founded under the leadership of Mr. Sushil Malhotra and Dr. Rajesh Malhotra, has emerged as one of northern India’s most prominent institutions for defence-service preparation. From its inception, the founders envisioned an academy that would not only offer written coaching for UPSC-based defence examinations but also create a holistic ecosystem focused on mental strength, physical fitness, disciplined learning, and personality development. From the early years, the academy’s leadership focused heavily on establishing strong infrastructure. Situated on Rajpur Road, a location known for its serene environment and proximity to defence institutions such as the Indian Military Academy, the campus offers facilities tailored for rigorous training. Under his guidance, the institute developed smart classrooms with modern teaching tools, air-conditioned learning spaces, reading rooms, and dedicated physical training zones for drills and outdoor tasks. Under his leadership, Parmanu Defence Academy received the Indo Global Business Award for Best Defence Academy in North India, presented by Padma Shri awardee Madhuri Dixit. Infrastructure-related demands, especially for physical training, were addressed by developing dedicated SSB grounds and indoor-outdoor sports facilities. More importantly, the academy prioritised demonstrable outcomes by striving to create a strong selection track record.
Today, the academy stands as a well-established brand offering both online and offline training modes, with diverse programmes and a strong infrastructure network.
