Toshali Gir, a graduate from MGD Girls’ School, Jaipur, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey after leaving her Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary exams during her second year of college. Graduating with a background in commerce, entrepreneurship had always piqued her interest, stemming from her aspirations since Class 11. Inspired by her cousin, who is now the owner of a renowned company, Toshali harbored dreams of following a similar path.

However, destiny took a different turn when Toshali got married at the age of 18 and began working in her husband’s and mother-in-law’s school. Despite having ownership there, teaching small children did not bring her the fulfillment she sought. Motivated by her husband and brother, Toshali embarked on her entrepreneurial venture, KUMI, after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. The name “KUMI” is derived from the names of her children, Kuber and Mishthi, who bring immense joy to her life.

Starting with procuring goods from local suppliers, KUMI has now expanded to manufacturing products on a small scale. With clients including notable bloggers, influencers, and TV artists, KUMI has also made its mark internationally, catering to markets in Canada and the USA. Toshali faced initial challenges, selling products through platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook, initially managing to sell only 10 products per month. Nevertheless, with unwavering support from her husband, Toshali persevered.

Currently operating as an e-commerce company, Toshali aims to establish a physical store in Jaipur and expand to other locations across India. Simultaneously, she has propelled her school, I Excel High School, to greater heights. Through hard work and collaboration, the school has obtained affiliation with Cambridge International Education and received accolades such as the Best Pre School of the Year Award in 2022 and Excellence in Academics Award in 2023 by the International School of Awards in Dubai. Plans are underway to extend the school up to Grade 12 and establish additional branches.

Both KUMI and I Excel High School are self-funded ventures, testament to Toshali’s determination and resilience. Her passion and dedication drive her forward, with unwavering support from her family, particularly her husband and brother, who serve as her pillars of strength and guidance. Toshali expresses gratitude to God and Guruji for their blessings and envisions taking both organizations to greater heights, earning recognition across India.
