Kasturi Usha is a seasoned educator and school administrator with over 27 years of professional experience. Born and raised in India, her journey in education has been marked by dedication, innovation, and leadership. Her career has spanned various roles and responsibilities, showcasing her expertise in school management, teaching methodologies, and student counseling.

Starting her career in the education sector, she  quickly established herself as a formidable force in school administration. Her ability to handle state-level syllabi and her innovative approach to teaching set her apart from her peers. As a principal, she took on the comprehensive responsibility of managing students, staff, and all school-related activities. Her leadership style emphasized maintaining discipline and decorum on campus, while also fostering open communication among students, teachers, and parents. She  knack for recruiting and training teachers ensured that the school maintained high educational standards.

Throughout her career, she  has been recognized for her contributions to education. She managed a team of over 110 teaching and non-teaching staff, successfully balancing the demands of a large educational institution. Her efforts in providing dynamic professional work contributed to profitable budgeting without compromising the school’s safe and healthy environment. Her commitment to excellence in education has earned her several prestigious awards. She was named Best Speaker by Kalasagar Madras for her performance in spot oratorical contests in 1978 and 1981. In 2019, she received the Best Teacher Award from Sudheer Foundation and the Teaching Excellence Award from Sarada Educational. Additionally, she was honored with a Teaching Innovation Certificate from Aurobindo Society for her zero investment teaching aids on September 30, 2019. Her efforts in environmental education were recognized by the Green Indian Society, which awarded her the Teaching Inspiration Award for inspiring students to plant over 10,000 plants in a single day on February 8, 2020. She also received the Women Excellence Award from the same society on March 8, 2020, and the Educational Icon Award in September 2023.

Currently, she  serves as the Program Head for the Bangaaruthalli project under the Building Blocks Group, focusing on girl child empowerment. This initiative aims to motivate students about personal hygiene, social responsibility, quality friendships, and national responsibility. Under her leadership, the project has reached approximately 170,000 students across both Telugu states. The Bangaaruthalli Foundation has constructed Bharosa buildings in Bhongir and Shadnagar areas of Hyderabad and provided essential infrastructure to needy government schools. The Building Blocks Group envisions empowering two million girls by 2040, and she  is passionately dedicated to this mission.

Her  personal life reflects her professional dedication. She is multilingual, proficient in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, and capable of writing in English and Telugu. Her ability to communicate effectively across languages enhances her reach and impact in her educational endeavors. Through her work, she  continues to inspire and uplift the lives of countless students, embodying the principles of dedication, innovation, and social responsibility in education.
