Himanshu Mahur, born on September 5, 1991, into a modest family in Udaipur, Rajasthan, has emerged as a multifaceted individual making significant contributions to education, social work, and entrepreneurship. His journey from humble beginnings to founding Align Academy, an esteemed English coaching institute in Udaipur, reflects his unwavering determination and passion for empowering others through education.

Raised in Udaipur, Himanshu completed his schooling in a government Hindi medium school, navigating early academic challenges with perseverance. Financial constraints initially limited his educational opportunities, leading him to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree from B N College. Inspired by his grandfather’s service in the Army, he also earned accolades in the NCC, achieving the prestigious NCC Senior Under Officer Army Wing with an A grade in the C certificate.

After graduation, Himanshu joined an NGO, where he discovered his passion for education and social service. Recognizing the critical role of English education, he embarked on a mission to provide free education to underprivileged children. Faced with the challenge of inadequate English coaching facilities in Udaipur, he took matters into his own hands, studying materials from India’s leading English coaching institutes and meticulously compiling notes and insights.

Armed with self-acquired expertise, Himanshu founded Align Academy, dedicated to offering high-quality English education. Through both offline and online classes, he has impacted the lives of over 20,000 students, helping them achieve academic success and professional growth. His dedication to creating a comprehensive English syllabus tailored to the LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) approach, which was previously unheard of in India, has set Align Academy apart.

Himanshu’s academic pursuits reflect his commitment to continuous learning and personal development. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he pursued higher education, earning MA degrees in English Language and Literature, Economics, a B.Ed., and an MBA. These qualifications bolstered his ability to innovate and expand educational opportunities for marginalized communities.

Passionate about gender equality in education, Himanshu actively promotes women’s empowerment through educational initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided free online English classes to over 750 women, emphasizing their pivotal role in shaping India’s future.

While childhood dreams of working abroad were hindered by financial constraints, Himanshu’s dedication to education has transformed the lives of countless students. Many of his former students have excelled both nationally and internationally, a testament to his impactful teaching and skill development programs.
