Dr. Yedla Surender, born on October 27, 1963, in India, is a highly respected figure in physical education and sports coaching. With a robust educational background and extensive teaching experience, he has made significant contributions to academia and sports in India. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.), a Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.), a Master of Arts (M.A.), and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). Additionally, he holds a diploma in pharmacy and a Ph.D., further showcasing his diverse educational pursuits. He also serves as a Senior Sports Psychologist.

He has dedicated 12 years to teaching at the B.Ed. college level and another 12 years at the physical education college level. His teaching journey also includes six years at the degree level. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the University College of Physical Education (UCOPE), where he imparts his vast knowledge and experience to the next generation of physical education professionals.

As a convenor, he organized a combined boxing tournament for the District Sports Authority held in Warangal in 2000-2001. His leadership as the general captain at Kakatiya Government College, Hanamkonda, in 1986-87, further highlights his commitment to sports.

He has also excelled in extracurricular activities. He has been an active musician at Kakatiya Degree College, achieving first positions in various competitions. Recognized as the best folk dancer among his collegiate peers, he also received an award as the best cricket player from the Ray Clay Nehru Yuva Kendra in Warangal. His contributions to physical education were broadcasted in 26 programs on All India Radio, emphasizing the benefits of physical exercise.

Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and recognitions. These include the PEF Life Member Award and an award for educational excellence in 2012. Notably, he is the first national awardee from Kakatiya University and has published 38 journals and produced one documentary.
