Dr. Vinay M, an accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in Bengaluru, boasts an impressive academic background and a wealth of experience in the field of education and technology.

He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from JJT University, Rajasthan, under the mentorship of Dr. S K Yadav in February 2019. Prior to that, he obtained a Master of Computer Applications degree from the Indira Gandhi National Open University, India. Additionally, he pursued Adaptive Design for Learning from the Ateneo Institute for the Science and Art of Learning & Teaching, Ateneo de Manila University.
Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Yeshwanthpur Campus, he has been an integral part of the university for the past 18 years. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he holds the position of Coordinator at the Office of Online Training and Examination, where he manages the Learning Management System (LMS) of the university, catering to over 25,000 students and 850+ faculty members across five campuses.

His expertise and dedication to education technology have garnered him several prestigious awards and recognitions. Notably, he received the Google Certified Trainer recognition from Google in 2020 and the “Microsoft Faculty Fellow” award from Microsoft Inc. in 2013. He was honored with the “Nobel Researcher Award, 2018” for outstanding excellence in research and co-curricular activities by RULA International awards. He also received the International GOAL Achiever Award in May 2020 for his contributions to educational training and student management services.

With a diverse range of teaching and research interests, His expertise spans various domains, including Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Gamification, Educational Technology, Multimedia, Web Technology, Digital Learning, IoT, AR and VR, Web Analytics, Data Analytics, AI, ML, and Semantic Web. He has undertaken a major research project titled “Impact of ICT in Teaching-learning process of higher education” in 2017.

Dr. Vinay M is a Google Certified Educator, Google Digital Unlocked – Digital Marketing Expert, Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator, Google Cloud Certified in GSuite, and Certified author of Book Creator. He is also actively involved in knowledge dissemination through invited talks, guest lectures, and workshops. He has authored numerous research papers published in national and international journals, holds six patents, and has authored two books. Additionally, he is a lifetime member of esteemed organizations such as ISTE and Teaching and Education Research Association (TERA), among others.

As a community leader, he serves as the SPOC and Institute Representative for IIT Madras, SWAYAM & NPTEL Exams, an International Certified Career Coach, a Community Representative of Crowdsource By Google, and a Wakelet Community Leader.
