Dr. Swapnil L. Lahudkar, a distinguished academician, earned his PhD in 2012 from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, College of Engineering. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication at JSPM’s Imperial College of Engineering, Pune. With over 65 published papers in peer-reviewed journals, he is not only a prolific author but also a reviewer for several esteemed academic journals. His areas of expertise include Communication, Antenna Design and Analysis, and Signal Processing. His journey as an educator began nearly 24 years ago, a path that he initially embarked upon with little fanfare but which has since evolved into a deeply enriching experience. He reflects on his transition from a potential career in defense services to academia, a shift that occurred under unexpected circumstances but proved to be transformative. The change ignited a passion for teaching, which has become an integral part of his identity. His first taste of educational leadership came when he served as the Dean of Academics at JSPM’s Imperial College of Engineering. He has participated in numerous initiatives aimed at improving society, including vaccination campaigns, village clean-ups, anti-superstition campaigns, the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign, clean[1]liness drives, first aid training, road safety initiatives, Fit India, and environmental protection efforts.
