Dr. Sarabjeet Kaur Jagpal currently serves as the Principal of Khalsa Public Senior Secondary School in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a school dedicated to catering to the academic needs of underprivileged children. Since its establishment in 2005, under her leadership, the school has grown significantly and now educates approximately 700 students across various disciplines including Science, Humanities, Sports, and AI.

Her  journey as the founder teacher cum Principal of Khalsa Public Senior Secondary School reflects her unwavering commitment to education and community service. Starting with just seven students, she has transformed the school into a well-equipped institution focused on providing excellent education and preparing students for a brighter future. Her motto, “Aspiring souls always become inspirations one day,” resonates deeply with her dedication to nurturing and inspiring young minds.

Born and educated in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, she  completed her schooling at the prestigious Hartmann College and pursued further education at Bareilly College. Her academic journey laid a strong foundation for her career in education, characterized by compassion, dedication, and a strong sense of social responsibility.

She  is revered by the Islanders for her exemplary leadership and selfless service. She is known for her personal involvement in the lives of her students, irrespective of their background, providing them with guidance and support. Her compassionate approach has endeared her to students and parents alike, particularly in helping students cope with academic stress and preparing for board exams.

Beyond academics, she  is a multifaceted personality. She is actively involved in extracurricular activities such as quizzes, debates, and sports, where the school’s NCC wings, including NCC Army and NCC (Navy), play a significant role. Her efforts have earned her recognition as a “Changemaker” on the online platform my.gov.in and as the Secretary of CBSE Sahodaya, Port Blair chapter.

Her contributions extend beyond the school walls. She is a prolific writer, penning patriotic skits and poems for radio and television stations in Port Blair. Her dedication to education and community service has been acknowledged through numerous awards, including the Women Achiever Award 2021 from Navodya Foundation, Port Blair, the Bolt Award 2009 jointly from Air India and The Echo of India, and the Acharya Vishista Puraskar 2019 from the Indian Institute of Art Olympiad, Bangalore.
