Her career began as a dentist, where she found immense joy in patient care. However, her trajectory shifted when her undergraduate guide and mentor, Dr. Rohit Agarwal Sir, inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) instead of a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS). His guidance opened her eyes to the broader impact. She could have in the field of public health, setting her on a transformative path. She completed her MPH at KIIT University in Bhubaneswar, a decision that became the cornerstone of her career. This education laid the foundation for her research-driven journey.
She started as a Research Assistant at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, contributing to a groundbreaking project on Melioidosis. In January 2024, she was also involved in a COVID-19 sero-surveillance project at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, which provided invaluable insights into immunity patterns and population-level responses to the pandemic. Following this, she worked on another impactful project, which involved Integrated Behavioral and Biological Surveillance (IBBS) among male clients of female sex workers. This project deepened her understanding of public health challenges and emphasized the importance of inclusive, community-centric research.
