Dr. P. KALAISELVI, born on April 5, 1964, to R. Perumal and P. Suseela in Katpadi, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu, India, has dedicated 40 years to the noble profession of teaching. Her educational journey is illustrious, boasting multiple degrees including M.Sc., M.A., M.Ed., and M.Phil. Throughout her distinguished career, she  has become synonymous with excellence in education, earning her countless accolades and honors.

With over 1000 awards to her name, her  contributions extend beyond the classroom. Recognized for her prowess in education and Tamil poetry, as well as her exceptional debating skills, she has been honored with prestigious awards such as the “BHARAT RATNA ABDUL KALAM GOLD MEDAL,” “INDIRA GANDHI GOLD MEDAL AWARD,” and “RADHA KRISHNAN GOLD MEDAL AWARD.” Her remarkable achievements also include being bestowed the “BEST TEACHER AWARD” an impressive 11 times, alongside setting seven world records and being named one of the “TOP 10 TEACHERS OF THE AWARD.”

Her  impact on education transcends accolades. Over a span of 17 years, from 2017 to 2023, she consistently achieved centum results in the Science subject, showcasing her dedication to academic excellence. Moreover, her influence extends to government school students whom she has mentored, leading them to victory in district and state-level competitions. Under her guidance, students have amassed over 10,000 certificates, along with first-place shields and medals. Her school, under her leadership, has proudly secured 47 first-place shields, further testament to her commitment to nurturing talent and fostering success.

Beyond her pedagogical achievements, she  is a distinguished practitioner and instructor of Yoga. Her expertise in Yoga is underscored by qualifications such as Yoga Ratna, Yoga Acharya, Karma Bhushan, and Outstanding Yoga Coach. She has also obtained certifications in YCB Level 3 & 6 Yoga exams and has been instrumental in conducting online free Yoga classes since 2022, extending the benefits of Yoga to a wider audience.

In acknowledgment of her significant contributions to society, she was bestowed with the esteemed “LIFETIME ACHIEVER AWARD” by the JACKIE BOOK OF AWARDS on April 28, 2024. This recognition symbolizes her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others and her invaluable service to the community.

Outside of her professional endeavors, her  family shares her spirit of achievement. Her husband, Dr. R. Sundaresan, holds a Ph.D. and serves as a Mechanical Engineering Professor at GYZAN UNIVERSITY, SAUDI ARABIA. Their elder son, S. Sathya Narayanan, is employed at STELLENTIS (FIAT), having earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Meanwhile, their younger son, S. Sankara Narayanan, is pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at BRUSSEL UNIVERSITY, BELGIUM.

In summary, her  journey is one marked by excellence, dedication, and service. Her contributions to education, Yoga, and society at large serve as an inspiration to all, embodying the transformative power of knowledge, perseverance, and compassion.
