Dr. Jayshri Devidas Jagtap holds the position of Assistant Professor in Botany at KET’s V.G. Vaze College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (Autonomous), situated in Mulund, Mumbai. With a Ph.D. from K. V. Pendharkar College, Dombivali, she boasts over a decade of teaching experience in various botanical disciplines, including Cytogenetics, Molecular Biology, Ecology and Environmental Botany, Plant Pathology, Plant Taxonomy, and Plant Physiology. She has presented her research findings at numerous national and international conferences and has contributed to several peer-reviewed journals with her publications. Additionally, she is an esteemed member of several scientific associations and has mentored postgraduate students in diverse research activities.
Her expertise extends across a wide array of botanical research methodologies, encompassing Biodiversity Assessment, GPS Analysis, Phytochemical Research, and DNA Barcoding of plants, among others.
