Born in Ambala and raised in Ferozepur in the illustrious Sodhi family, Dr. Hundal has defied conventions, becoming the first in her lineage to pursue art as a career.

Her journey reflects a profound connection to creativity, perseverance, and self-expression, making her a source of inspiration for aspiring artists worldwide. Dr. Hundal’s education laid a strong foundation for her artistic endeavors. She attended KV & Convent School Ferozepur, Sacred Heart School Dalhousie, and South Delhi Polytechnic, where she earned multiple degrees and certifications in textile designing, fashion designing, and commercial art. Her academic excellence culminated in an Art Master’s degree with distinction, showcasing her commitment to mastering her craft.

Her professional journey began with a solo exhibition in Chandigarh in 1987. As a Textile Designer at La’Affair in New Delhi, she further honed her artistic sensibilities. Over the years, Dr. Hundal continued to make her mark through solo exhibitions, including those in New Delhi in 1992 and Panchkula in 2018. From 2008 to 2017, she balanced teaching and creating art, solidifying her reputation in the art community. Since 2017, she has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, both online and offline, sharing her work with a global audience. Dr. Hundal’s art resonates deeply with audiences due to its universal appeal and emotional depth. Her works, such as Smooth Sail exhibited in Chandigarh and Unveil the Desire, which won the Best Art Award in Kathmandu, have garnered critical acclaim. Recognized in the Guinness World Records in 2021 and 2022 for her artistic contributions, she has also gained global recognition with features in Icons of India magazine and inclusion in Indian Contemporary Art: Hundred Best Artists 2024 and You & Art 2 International Contemporary Art Book 2024. In 2023, Dr. Hundal participated in prestigious events like the Art Carnival in Budapest and the Teleport exhibition in Poland. Her remarkable achievements continued in 2024, when she received an Honorary Doctorate and membership from the World Human Rights Protection Commission.

She also earned the International Eminence Awards for “Best Paint Artist of the Year 2024” and the “Lifetime Achievement in Painting Award” in Manila, Philippines.
