Dr. Babita Hundal, hailing from Mohali, Punjab, is a distinguished professional artist with an illustrious career spanning 42 years. Her journey into the world of art began with formal education at South Delhi Polytechnic, where she completed degrees in Textile Designing, Advanced Textile Designing, Fashion Designing, Commercial Art, and Art Masters (with distinction).

Her  artistic prowess first came to prominence in 1987 with her debut solo exhibition in Chandigarh, followed by another solo showcase in New Delhi in 1992, and subsequently in Panchkula in 2018. Her artistic journey evolved as she transitioned from a textile designer at La’Affair in GK New Delhi (2008-2017) worked as esteemed artist in Mohali. From 2017 till present she has participated in numerous National and International art group shows, both online and offline, solidifying her reputation as a versatile and prolific artist.

In a remarkable achievement, she participated twice in the Guinness World Records in 2021-2022, garnering accolades in the form of medals and certificates. Her artworks have been adorned with numerous medals and trophies, celebrating her exceptional talent and contribution to the art world. Notably, her exhibition titled “Smooth Sail” in Chandigarh featured a painting that stole the show, while her artwork “Unveil the Desire” earned her the Best Art Award at an exhibition in Kathmandu, further enhancing her artistic acclaim.

Her  distinctive style is characterized by textured compositions and a vibrant palette, reflecting her deep affinity for colors and a realistic approach inspired by the great masters. She is renowned for her unique technique of creating one brushstroke per painting, a method that underscores her meticulous craftsmanship and artistic vision.

Beyond artistic expression, she  views her art as a profound connection to the world around her, interpreting her observations and emotions into tangible creations on canvas. Looking ahead, she remains actively engaged in upcoming artistic endeavors, including participation in several online art exhibitions and prestigious international events such as Art Carnival 2023 in Budapest and the Teleport 2023 art exhibition in Poland. In March 2024, she exhibited her works in Malaysia and is slated to participate in individual Guinness World Records events in 2024. Her achievements continue to be recognized, as evidenced by her receipt of a Doctorate Certificate for Art & Craft and the Harvard World Record in 2024 for achieving the maximum number of awards.
