Dr. B. Vinod Kumar is an accomplished physician, scientist, and interventional cardiologist, dedicated to advancing cardiac care in India. With over 11 years of experience, he has consistently delivered exemplary cardiac care to patients at the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research and across the country. His expertise lies in complex coronary interventions, structural heart disease interventions, and permanent pacemakers. As the Managing Director of Chennai Cardiac Care (C3 Clinic) and the Managing Trustee of C3 Research Foundation (C3RF), he has demonstrated visionary leadership in driving innovation, leading research initiatives, and training the next generation of cardiologists.

His journey in cardiac care began at the age of 18 during his undergraduate studies at the University of Pondicherry. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, followed by a Master’s Degree in General Medicine (MD) from Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Cardiology from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, where he graduated with top honors, receiving the Ramasamy Udayar Gold Medal for being the university topper in cardiology.

Throughout his career, He has been committed to both clinical practice and academic excellence. He has a rich teaching experience, delivering lectures, seminars, and demonstration classes to undergraduate and postgraduate students in various medical disciplines. His dedication to education extends to international observerships and fellowships, where he has trained under renowned cardiologists in institutions such as Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, UT Health in Texas, and ASAN Medical Centre in South Korea.

In addition to his clinical and academic pursuits, he has made significant contributions to research in cardiology. He has co-founded the C3 Research Foundation (C3RF), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cardiology research in India. His research interests span epidemiology, genomics, nutritional aspects of cardiac diseases, and interventional cardiology procedures. He has published numerous articles and actively participates in clinical trials, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
