Hailing from Saraswati Shishu Mandir Beohari, Dr. Shukla pursued his higher education at Government Science College, Jabalpur, where he excelled as a Gold Medalist in both B.Sc Biotechnology and M.Sc Zoology (Entomology). His journey into research commenced with a focus on the biomonitoring of the Narmada River, culminating in a Ph.D. and subsequently a D.Sc (HC) from the USA.

His work on the biomonitoring study of the Narmada River has garnered global recognition, earning him an impressive 14 World Records. Dr. Shukla’s scholarly output includes over 105 international research papers, 115 research abstracts, and contributions to numerous national science magazines and book chapters.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr. Shukla is committed to sharing his knowledge with the public. He has authored several books, including “Narmada Nadi Nahi Sabhyata,” which sheds light on the cultural significance of the river, and “Scientific Confluence of River Narmada,” which delves into its ecological importance.
