Dr. Abhishek Narayan, hailing from a middle-class family in the small town of Aurangabad, Bihar, exemplifies resilience and determination in his journey toward becoming a distinguished medical professional. His story begins with his father, who worked in Chennai and, for the sake of better opportunities, enrolled young Abhishek in a boarding school in Bodhgaya while he was in UKG. However, recognizing his son’s discomfort in boarding school, his father made the life-changing decision to leave his job and return to Aurangabad. This marked the start of their journey together as a close-knit family.

He completed his early education at DAV Public School in Aurangabad, studying there until the 5th standard. For better educational opportunities, the family moved to Varanasi, where he continued his studies at Sunbeam Academy. While his father commuted back and forth, often visiting only on weekends or once a month, he remained under the care of his mother. He studied at Sunbeam Academy until the 10th standard. In 2010, his pursuit of academic excellence took him to New Delhi, where he enrolled in 11th and 12th grades. This phase of his life taught him to manage responsibilities independently and adjust to life away from home. In 2012, he shifted to Kota, Rajasthan, to prepare for medical entrance exams at Allen Career Institute. The experience was both intense and transformative. He recalls the pressure of writing medical entrance exams and the relentless efforts of his father, who tirelessly attended counseling sessions, printed documents, and contacted consultants to guide him through the process. Their journey led them to Bangalore for counseling, where his path in medicine officially began. He completed his MBBS in Karnataka, a period marked by numerous challenges. Living far from home and navigating the rigors of medical education was often overwhelming. At times, he contemplated giving up, but his father’s unwavering support kept him going. “Don’t worry, my son, we will make it,” his father would say, standing by him as a constant source of encouragement. Despite the extended timeline for completing his degree, he emerged more determined and grateful for the experiences that shaped him. For him, success is defined not by speed but by resilience and personal growth. After completing his medical education, he returned to his hometown, where he began practicing medicine while managing his father’s company. Later, he moved to Noida, purchased his own home, and embarked on a new chapter of life.

His professional journey began at Yatharth Super Specialty Hospital, but soon patients started visiting him at home. This milestone marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial medical practice. He vividly recalls the uncertainty of setting consultation fees for his first patient. Gaining confidence, he opened his own clinic, which has since flourished. In addition to his practice, he completed a Fellowship in Pediatrics, further enhancing his expertise. His dedication and hard work were recognized on Doctor’s Day when he was honored as the Young Medical Entrepreneur of the Year at India’s Best Doctor Award Show.
