Basavaraj Naratti, proprietor of Admire Photography and Events in Bailhongal, stands today as one of the district’s most respected entrepreneurs. His rise from adversity to success is marked not only by his achievements in photography and event management but also by his unwavering dedication to social service. Over the years, he has built a reputation as a skilled professional, an innovator, and a mentor committed to uplifting others through education and employment.

His journey began far from comfort. In 1992, he left his family and arrived in the small village of Belwadi in search of survival. The early years were marked by severe struggle—there were days when he went without food, and he relied on the kindness of others for shelter. While completing his high school studies, he worked in local homes and assisted in a small studio, where he first learned the basics of photography. Though resources were scarce, his passion for the craft grew stronger each day.

By the year 2000, he found himself unable to afford a camera of his own. A turning point came when his friend Manjunath extended financial support to help him purchase his first camera. This moment marked the beginning of his professional journey. In the early days, he traveled from village to village capturing portraits. During the reel-film era, he would often return multiple times to deliver the printed photographs. His dedication and commitment helped him secure his first wedding assignments, leading him to establish his own studio under the name Sai Digitals.

As his business expanded steadily, he ventured into the cable services sector, which also proved successful. With growing confidence and experience, he envisioned building a comprehensive event management company. This dream materialized when he founded Admire Photography and Events on January 31, 2020. Through consistent investment, innovation, and hard work, he gradually expanded the company’s offerings.

In 2023, he introduced LED wall services across Karnataka, gaining clients from within the state and beyond—including regions such as Goa, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. In 2024, he further diversified into aluminum truss and lighting services, a division that continues to operate successfully. His excellence in managing large-scale events has earned him recognition at some of Karnataka’s most prominent cultural celebrations, including Kittur Utsav, Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna Utsav, and Belawadi Mallamma Utsav. He has also handled major events for medical colleges, universities such as VTU, art academies, and several private institutions.

Beyond business, he remains deeply committed to community service. He has educated many students—particularly those from economically weaker backgrounds—in photography and videography at no cost, later providing them employment within his own company. His contribution to women’s empowerment is equally significant; he trains women in photo editing and offers them professional opportunities to build financial independence. His leadership in the local photography fraternity is widely acknowledged, and he has served as the Chairperson of the Photography Committee in Bailhongal.
