Jyoshna Rani Behera, a dedicated educator and passionate mentor, currently serves as a TGT PCM (Teacher for Physical Science and Mathematics) at G.C.D. (Zilla) High School in Rayagada, Odisha. What makes her journey particularly inspiring is her return to her alma mater, where she once studied as a high school student. For her, becoming a teacher at the institution that shaped her was a profound honor, encapsulated in her sentiment expressed in Odia, “Mo school sikhaile aa, mote dakuchhi aa”—a heartfelt reflection of her gratitude and commitment.

After completing her B.Sc. B.Ed., Jyoshna joined G.C.D. High School in 2004. Over two decades of service, she has made remarkable contributions to both academic and extracurricular domains. As a science teacher, she has fostered curiosity and innovation among her students. Beyond academics, she has inspired her pupils to express themselves through creative outlets, encouraging them to write stories and poems in Odia, English, and Hindi.

She also introduced a wall magazine to provide a platform for students to showcase their writing, poetry, and artistic talents. A former silent and introspective student herself, she has directed numerous school dramas performed at district, zonal, and state levels. She has also mentored students for various literary competitions, enabling them to secure accolades at different levels.

Her dedication to her profession has earned her several prestigious awards, including the *District-Level Mukhyamantri Sikhya Puraskar for Mathematics (2023), the **Teacher Educator Award for Community Engagement from Quest Alliance (2022), and the **Best Teacher Award from the Lion’s Club, Rayagada (2024)*.

In addition to her teaching career, Jyoshna is also a published author. Her book, “My Life Through Education,” was released on October 28, 2024, and is available on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart through Dreambook Publications. Her creative pursuits extend to music, painting, and drama. She shares her singing passion on StarMaker, with songs and videos featured on her YouTube channel (jyoshnaranibehera6968), alongside her sketches, paintings, poems, and student performances.

She has embraced technological advancements in education, integrating coding and Scratch programming into her classroom teachings after receiving training. As a District-Level Mathematics Master Trainer, she has imparted her expertise to both students and teachers, contributing to capacity-building initiatives through the “SANKALP” model as part of the District Resource Group.

Her commitment to personal growth is evident in her ongoing pursuit of knowledge. She is enrolled in dual postgraduate programs—M.Sc. Mathematics at Chandigarh University and M.A. Education at IGNOU. Additionally, she has completed various professional courses, including Transformational Leadership Skills, International Career Coaching (Level 1), and Vedic Mathematics.

On November 23, 2024, Jyoshna is set to receive an *Honorary Doctorate Award from Kennedy University*, a fitting recognition of her dedication to education and community development.

She exemplifies the essence of an educator who not only imparts knowledge but also inspires creativity and lifelong learning. Her unwavering commitment to her students, coupled with her continuous self-improvement, makes her a beacon of inspiration in the field of education.
