Dr. Harleen Kaur Dhillon is a distinguished Professor of Management at the Institute of Business Management, Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal Vidyapeeth (JCDV), Sirsa, where she has been imparting knowledge since January 2012. With a robust academic and corporate background spanning 17 years, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the institution. Her journey is marked by a blend of academic achievements, research contributions, and leadership roles that underscore her commitment to excellence in education.
Currently serving as the Director of the Institute of Business Management at JCDV, she has been instrumental in articulating and implementing the institution’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. Her leadership has been pivotal in steering the faculty, staff, and students towards achieving academic and professional excellence. In her administrative capacity, she has managed budgets, finance, and resource allocation with precision, ensuring the efficient operation of the institute. She has also facilitated professional development among faculty members and conducted performance evaluations, fostering an environment of continuous growth and improvement.
Her contributions to the field of education have been widely recognized. In 2024, she was honored with the Indian Glory Award for her significant contributions to student development. Her efforts in enhancing the overall personality development of students and contributing to the growth of JCD Vidyapeeth during the 2022-23 academic session were acknowledged with a Certificate of Appreciation. Additionally, she has chaired technical sessions at national conferences, delivered guest lectures, and contributed as a resource person in various faculty development programs and international conferences.
Under her leadership, the Institute of Business Management has achieved several milestones. She played a key role in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Seneca College, Toronto, Canada, and in organizing national-level management fests. Her efforts have led to a 100% placement and internship record for students, the introduction of nursing and physiotherapy courses, and the launch of short-term programs in collaboration with Hartron. Furthermore, she established the School of Languages at JCDV, offering IELTS and PTE courses, and has been actively involved in organizing various international and national conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Her research interests focus on work engagement and its impact on organizational citizenship behavior in higher education institutions. Her scholarly work includes numerous publications in reputable journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and UGC CARE. She has presented papers at international and national conferences, contributing significantly to the academic discourse in her field.
Her corporate experience, which includes roles at C&C Construction Limited and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, has further enriched her understanding of the practical applications of management principles. Her academic qualifications include a Ph.D. from Punjab Technical University, a Master’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Commerce, and a Bachelor’s in Education.
