Known for her deep commitment to personal pastimes like reading small books and engaging in household activities, her solitary hobbies have paved the way for significant accomplishments in her life.
Educationally, she holds a BSc degree from Maharani Science College for Women in Mysore and pursued MSc in Biotechnology at the University of Mysore before cultural considerations led to a pause in her studies. Her journey as an educator began after completing a BEd in Mysore, followed by her appointment as a government servant in Yelandur in 2013, a role she embraced with enthusiasm.
Initially reserved in nature, her dedication to her students and their academic progress quickly became evident. Despite early challenges, her persistence and motivational teaching style gradually transformed the behavior and academic performance of her students, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Throughout her tenure, she faced personal and professional challenges with resilience. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she navigated difficulties commuting from Mysore to Yelandur and dedicated herself to teaching while adhering to WHO guidelines, ensuring the health and safety of her community. Despite her efforts, she encountered health issues herself, including varicose veins and tonsillitis, which she managed through self-care and medical guidance.
Her commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare is evident in her advocacy for water and electricity conservation, economical resource usage, and nurturing plants and trees. Her diverse interests include reading, painting, knitting, cooking, and engaging in creative activities like rangoli and flute playing.
As a teacher, she cultivated strong bonds with her students, preparing them for various competitions and fostering a supportive classroom environment. Her rapport with students extended beyond academics, with many viewing her as a maternal figure due to her nurturing approach.
Reflecting on her teenage years spent at Marimallapa High School, she fondly recalls her athletic prowess and friendships, particularly enjoying sports and engaging in various activities at home like kitchen play, crafting, and caring for animals.
Despite facing health challenges, her positive outlook and dedication to her students and community have defined her journey. She remains passionate about fostering scientific curiosity among her students through engaging experiments and activities.
In her leisure time, she finds solace in nature, particularly enjoying tree swings and connecting with animals like dogs, birds, and even cheetahs, who she believes communicate climatic changes through their behavior.
One defining moment in her life was when her young son provided immediate relief from a severe neck pain, showcasing the deep bonds within her family. Through her life’s journey, she has exemplified resilience, compassion, and a profound dedication to education and community welfare.
