Dr. Amit Bhargava, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Veda at the School of Shastric Learning in Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek, Maharashtra, epitomizes a lifelong dedication to Sanskrit and Vedic studies. Raised in a traditional family environment, his early exposure to Veda mantras ignited a passion for Sanskrit, which he pursued earnestly throughout his academic journey.

His  educational background is rooted in rigorous traditional learning methodologies. Following his interest in Sanskrit from a young age, he began formal Sanskrit education after completing the 5th standard at Acharya Vachaspatii Shukla Sahankrit Veda Gurukul. Under the tutelage of Veda Mutri Vidvan Durgesh Kumar Pandey, he studied Veda up to Kramant and successfully passed the Vedavibhushan examination in Shukla Yajurveda, Madhyandin Shakha, conducted by Maharishi Sandipani Rastriya Vedavidya Pratishthan, Ujjain. He  holds a Shastri degree in Veda from Maharishi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic University, Ujjain, and an Acharya degree from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi. His academic pursuits also encompass Jyotish, Vastu, and other shastras.

In 2018, he  qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) and subsequently completed his Ph.D. His doctoral research, titled “Nirūkte Naighaṇṭukakāṇḍe Āgatānāṁ Maṁtrāṇāṁ Yāskasāyaṇabhāṣyayoḥ Tulanātmakam Adhyayanam,” was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Devendra Natha Pandey at Shree Somnath Sanskrit University, Verabal Gir, Somnath Gujarat.

Throughout his career,  he has contributed significantly to the field of Sanskrit and Vedic studies. He has authored 12 research articles and 4 books, participated in numerous seminars and conferences, and presented papers on various shastric subjects. His teaching philosophy revolves around imparting the shastric knowledge of Veda he received from his Guru to his students. Beyond classroom teaching, he trains students in Vedic mantras, Karmakand, and Muhurta Shastra, aiming to provide practical knowledge that serves society effectively.

His  dedication and contributions have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Teacher National Award 2022, National Vedaratnam Award 2022, Dr. Karana Singh Vedant Pratibha Award 2024, and Dynamic Teacher of the Year 2024. His hands-on experience in designing syllabi for graduation and post-graduation courses based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 reflects his commitment to innovative and authentic teaching methodologies, fostering both personal and professional growth among his students.
